Life is busier and more productive ever since I left LUCT. It feels great! Yes indeed I've resigned from that place. I accepted their offer at first because of my dad, just to satisfy him cuz he's pretty square when it comes to career. That's cuz he's in government. You all know how the politician talks in the tele..totally square. But my mum is the other way around, she is glad that now I am free to do the thing that I always love, which is designing. Actually I was kind of sad leaving some good fashion students behind, cuz they're so cool, plus they see me as a girlfriend more than a lecturer.. but still call me "miss Nisa" lol..So anyway, I decided to make a rendez-vous with them yesterday during lunch time. They are currently doing their 3 months internship. Been busy promoting myself to the world, and my line. These pictures are taken from yesterday's photo shoot. Another one of those magazine shots.

Bonne année 2010!!
I just love the fact that I've been in a great roller coaster ride in the year of 2009, wouldn't trade it for the world. I had so many fun times in France and I've shared so many moments with my loyal readers, because I have to make sure that they can learn, even a little, about my life.. because I know different people have different lives. But it all comes out to one thing, no matter who you are, and where you came from, if you are good at something, you don't have to speak highly of yourself, but the talent will shine by itself. Here is a small detail that I haven't told you guys, when I was single in France, I don't blog at all. I started blog back when I met Redza. That's cuz I started to be so happy :) So, wherever you go, no matter who you'll meet, always remember who your real friends are. Because at the end of the day, your loved ones will have your back no matter what.
Oh yes, I wanna share this with ya'll too. Since I know so many "fabulous" people, I just have to tell ya'll this, glamour don't make you rich. It's all about hard work. Ok, some people that I know would just die to get invited to all this big parties, events and what so ever. So, this is what they always do.. They can just go in and put thier pride to the lowest of hell, and tell the reception that, either they're "fashion blogger" or "fashionista" or.. "somebody's friend", and what they'll do in the party is try to sell themselves to all the vips..but the end of the day, the vips ain't impressed at all. These kinda people will sell thier own mother to cross the bridge. That's why whenever I'm in a function, I always keep my distance to all these creatures.
I've so many things that I wanna say for the past years, but couldn't say it out loud. But in any case, I'm always random in everything. Especially in what I say. That's why sometimes people can get confused with me. I swear that I think I have at least 1% of autism.. But my mom laughed when I said so. Hmm.. odd. So, for this year's resolution , is to not to be so random, and just focus at one thing..Including less party, work harder. lol. Well what can I say, young blood..
So what are your resolutions for this year?

Project NY
Yesterday, I realized that I've nothing to wear for the glamorous NY party.. and it is..tomorrow! So, I decided to make something new for me to wear. This is like the actual project runway, where you just really give all of your energy to one task and get it done just in a day. And yes, I used the same technique where you don't have to measure and draw a flat pattern. Using only the right size of a mannequin is sufficient to make a perfect draped outfit. I really love draping. I love to cut fabrics on a mannequin itself more than cutting flat pattern on a table. Parce que ca c'est l'originale haute couture d'accord? Oh boy, I miss my madame Muriel. Sobs.. Oh btw, I used Silk Shantung fabric for this project. I have so MANY awsome fabrics laying around the room. It's so cool I feel like Monsieur Dior already :P

Christmas Barbeque
I had a barbeque going on during the Christmas day in my crib. It was my mother's idea actually, she invited all of our relatives including my closest friends. As you can see, Redza is helping us out with some of the barbequed stuff.. which makes my grandma LOVES him so much.. :)

InTrend Photo shoot
The photo shoot for the InTrend Magazine went well, I can't wait for it to come out, because it was shot by the famous photographer, Bustamam Mokhtar at the White Studio. He does a lot of work with GLAM magazine, and a lot of famous artists. This particular photo shoot is for the February issue of the InTrend magazine. The theme is, of course, Valentine.

The Queen
I am so inspired by the Queen Elizabeth I also known as Elizabeth of England. I just LOVE her dresses, and the costumes during the 16th century. I would KILL just to produce one costume, or make something very modern out of it. So as in right now, I am totally crazy about the 16th century costumes AND also Italian smocking. Italian smocking is so hard to understand, I'm gonna look for another smocking book. I am also keen to learn to knit. I've knit before, I know the easy plain and purl stitch, but I want to do cables! Big one! I'm sure some of ya'll don't understand what I'm talking about..so google it!
I've been keeping a lot of books about costumes. I bought some in Paris. There was one costume specialist in my school, Miss Ann Bizette. She's crazy about my books of costume making. Well of course, I bought them from the best author.

Surprising weekend
I was supposed to go to the Piala Sri Endon with my mom and her friend, but since she was so annoying and we had a fight over dressing up. I wanna wear what I wanna wear and she was preaching me about Batik, and forced me to wear em. But I'm just 24!!! Lemme enjoy my jeune life. I don't wanna dress up old too fast. So I made another date with my friend Afiah, and Redza. We went to see the Asian Basketball league at the MABA stadium. The game was awsome, and we got the tickets for free! Lucky us. So anyway, during the second half, I noticed that I had an unopened message from my mom. This is what she asked me, " Nisa, who is Rico Rinaldi Tono? Is he your friend?" and I replied, "yeah, wassup?" and she replied back, "He won, first prize,"
Can you just imagined what I did, I was like literally jumping for joy, and people around were looking at me,like..she's crazy. Well, should've been there to support him, but YAY! He won the first prize..and walk out with the 30k. So actually yesterday, Rico took me and 3 others to celebrate. We did lunch together. which was great, but I couldn't make him pay for me so I payed for myself earlier..and he was like, "NOOOO NISA,what did you dooooo?" lol.

Another event with the French
Like I said before, once a Parisienne, will always be a Parisienne? This is what I'm talking about. This is what makes us different from the other overseas graduates, but I'm not sure about the M'sian students in Germany. But as for us, we do keep in touch with our local people in France and also with the French themselves. Unlike the UK or Ireland, we don't have that huge population of local people. To me, that makes us damn special. What say you?
Anyway, as the Asst. Secretary of FUGAM, I have to go to the French Embassy today, to attend their cocktail event. I wonder if I am the one who's going to write all about it, cuz as for our last meeting, the secretary himself couldn't make it, so I had to do the minutes and agendas. This event is very imprtant for the people like Redza because there will be some representative of French companies.. and I'm just gonna mingle around the non-engineer connected people..Hmm..maybe I should do something about the next event?
Regards,

Kaiyisah's party at the Ritz Carlton
Was at Tg. Kaiyisah's graduation party last Saturday night. She is one of the grand daughter of HRH Sultan Hj. Ahmad Shah. It was also the birthday party of Kaiyisah's younger sis, Afzan. I really love the suite, it was so big and beautiful. But I didn't get the chance to take lots of photographs cuz was too busy 'socializing'..well actually more like stoning, haha. But it was fun though, met lots of familiar faces there, what a small world :)
Actually I do have some pictures of the suite's living room, but it was taken from Redza's camera, and I haven't receive any photos from him yet.

Signature and Style
YODA Showcase
Here's the sneak peak of me at the backstage with the models.. Ok,Wasn't happy with 2 of my models, but the rest were great and professional. Thank god Redza was there with me the whole day. It was so sweet of him to take a day off work just to help me with stuff, it's been a real drama at the backstage, but at the end of the day, i rock the stage, and my clothes are super duper sellable. The collection ain't that much weird cuz I don't want my friends and sponsors to puke, so I did lots of details in this small collection, just to add the extra special in the everyday wear clothes :)

Press Conference
The Press Conference went well today. The Utusan Malaysia and the talent scout from MIFA were interested with my creation. They made my day! :D The Photographers kept on requesting for pictures. Me and my model were so exhausted after the Press Conference. But it was really fun :) I just felt so overwhelmed because I think I did work so hard when I was in Paris. The Utusan Malaysia's crew asked me if they can do an interview with me after the YODA event, whenever I am free. They want to make me and my collection as the cover story for Kosmo. Finger crossed! I am really looking forward to be on stage in MIFA next year, and I will give my best shot to make my future collection as unique as possible. I feel so blessed..Amin.

Young Visionary Designer from Paris, brings the Original Haute Couture elements in Prêt-A-Porter
Hartamas, 23/11/2009 - The new and upcoming Fashion Designer, Nisa Mazbar just recently back from Paris, France and is ready to make her big come back in Malaysia’s Fashion Scene.
Nisa Mazbar graduated from one of the prestigious Fashion school in Paris. She has worked closely with a lot of famous Fashion Designers such as Elie Saab, Dominique Sirop, J Maskrey and Anne Valérie Hash. After spending several years in France, she decided to move back to her own country and contribute her skills and knowledge to the local Fashion Industry, and YODA will be her first debut in Malaysia. Her favourite quote is, “Once a Parisienne, will always be a Parisienne,”
What is unique about Nisa Mazbar is that most of her pieces are literally hand-made. She prefers to do a lot of sewing by hand rather than using the industrial sewing machine. According to the designer, there is a big difference between the two sewing techniques in the terms of effects and quality. She took the specific skill and knowledge of Haute Couture from one of her professor who is a couturier of Maison de Nina Ricci who has worked with the late Madame Ricci herself.
The theme of her collection for YODA showcase this year is Chateau de Marie, which means Palace of Marie. The collection’s inspiration is taken from the Royal Chateau de Versailles. It is a palace whereby the famous Queen of France, Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI used to live. According to the designer, she was inspired by several elements from the fine and luxurious architecture and items from the Palace. The mood of the collection will be mixed of Elegance, Futuristic and a touch of Haute Couture.

Showcase for UITM Fashion Graduates
Me and Redza were invited to go to the UITM Fashion Showcase last Friday. It was held at the Le Meridien KL Central. I was impress of how organized it was, and how they managed to get a lot of sponsors from big companies. We all had fun, including Jasmi. He was one of the judges that evening. I have a few favorites but I am currently busy finishing up my collection for YODA. Can't wait!

Just another fun weekend
My weekends are always full of activities, but just another activities like partys, birthdays..stuff like that. That is why I was so lazy to post about them right away. So last Friday, we had a Birthday dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe KL next to the Concorde Hotel. It was Aelma's Birthday. And the following day, we had her Farewell party at Rootz. The most talk about club in KL now.. I saw the America's Next Top Model girl, Jaslene and couple of fashion people inside the club, and some royalties too. hoo haa.. yea sure, nothing beats Le Cab and VIP Club Paris, with all the famous artists such as Kanye and designers like Karl? VIP is perfect. Love it.

The Grand Gala MIFA
I was the happiest girl that night. I get to talk to my well known super duper senior designer, Dato' Bernard Chandran! For the rest who don't know Bernard Chandran, he is one of the top Malaysian Designer, no wait, the greatest! He made his way through the English market, and I just love his capability. We went to the same Fashion school in Malaysia, and also in Paris! Isn't that awsome?! I am so honored to follow his footsteps, it's just been an amazing journey for me. Who knows, I'll be the next BIG ONE, like our former Fashion School principle said, " She'll be the next Bernard,"

Tatler what..? This is Halloween!
Me and Redza went out the whole day yesterday. From a wedding reception, to a Halloween party. Speaking of Halloween, both of us had the celebration at Aunt Lily's house. Though I have the invitation to go to the private party at Rootz, I prefer to have a real fun time with, real people. Enough with the fakers for now, I have plenty of "plastic" event to go to next week..no,make it "this month". Plus, Zaireen didn't even feel like going, she also didn't feel like going to the Tatler ball with her family. Same goes to the last year's Tatler Ball, when she extended her ticket in Paris, just to spend time with me there. It was so awsome, cuz she was supposed to go back to KL with her parents before the ball, but instead, she stayed behind for a couple of days more. I guess she just had it with the same 'fakers' every year. That is why it is so funny when some people are like so excited about that kinda event. It's not even a Fashion Showcase where you can go crazy with your girlfriends.
Back to our Halloween party, I really love what Aunt Lily did for the spooky decoration, so adorable! She had a mini-haunted house, mini-club scene and also mini-theatre! I had so much fun fooling around with the Redz yesterday, they are all so great! Oh, I almost forgot, we had our mini-fashion show! Omg,omg, it was so hilarious!! Especially Refie, Redza's brother. He is such a teriffic Diva! Hehe.

50 Most Gorgeous People
Vote for the Sexy 39...

Sigh..I missed his long hair
His picture was taken a couple of months ago, when we just came back from Paris, before he started working. I love the shots. They did a lot of shots with different clothes. Out of all who attend the photo shoot, they only select 50 people. Ya'll should check out Female Magazine. I'll give the link to vote once it's activated.

It's MIFA!!
These are the tickets for The Gala Nights and Fashion Shows, which Jasmi Rejab and Rico Rinaldi gave me. I have 2 MIFA Gala to attend, and I will be wearing both of their designs seperately during the 2 Gala. I'll be wearing Jasmi's for the Closing event. I also have 2 tickets of Fashion Showcase on Saturday. It's awsome! I'll be super busy next month! November is THE month for me.
There will be a press conference tomorrow for the designers, so Rico asked me if I can be his muse, because he needs a woman who can be called Fashion Icon and most importantly, she has to be from our generation, the younger ones. Like, wow, I'll be honored to do so for him. So, I'll be wearing one of his design tomorrow. This is one of the press conference that Jasmi and Rico did recently. Click this link KOSMO! It was on this week's Monday newspaper. For the viewers who don't read Malay, check out Rico Rinaldi's blog.

Belle Voix
I'm still into Benjamin's music. For those who don't know Benjamin Siksou, check out all his clips and shows in Youtube. He got a good voice, you guys gonna love it! At his kinda age, he got a pretty deep sexy voice. How cool is that? Sigh.. if only he's older... ... ... *cough!* Anyways, you don't pronounce his name as 'Ben-ja-meen' since he is French, it's 'Ben-ja-ma(ng)' sorta like silent the 'ng'..oh whatever, i suck at teaching, so go figure. Though he is what he is, he don't have that typical French accent. Well,to cut it short, Benjamin Siksou is just awsome. I really wanted to go to his gigs in Paris last year, but it's just so hard to keep track of the gigs since he always do the underground scene. Talking about underground scene in Paris, you don't wanna compare it to here okay. There are like...a lot, okay, a lot.
Sometimes I just like to read the junks(tabloid) in the Metro.. And I still can remember I was reading this exact page and kinda feel like "dang, there goes my starstruck" haha.
